2021 Outstanding Faculty
Posted: February 3rd, 2022
During the Fall 2021 term, students taking courses through the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium were asked to nominate outstanding instructors from the program. Since the program began awarding this distinction in 2012, outstanding faculty were named in the three areas courses were offered: Electives, Modules, and Foundations. Because the program curriculum was recently restructured and we no longer offer Foundation courses, we will name one outstanding faculty from across the entire program.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Johs-Artisensi has been named the 2021 UW MBA Consortium Outstanding Faculty.
Jennifer has been teaching the MBA 789: Health Care Organization and Delivery course since she developed it for the program in 2010. She is a professor in the management and marketing department at UW-Eau Claire, where she is the academic program director for the health care administration program. Students value Jennifer's feedback and appreciate how quickly she responds when students reach out. One student commented, "Jennifer was extremely responsive. She graded quickly, and it was much appreciated. She also gave great feedback."
Dr. James Murray, professor of economics from UW-La Crosse, and Dr. Macaulay Onuigbo, UW MBA Consortium adjunct professor, were also recognized as finalists for the outstanding faculty award. Dr. Murray co-developed the MBA 709: Essentials of Economic and Statistical Analysis course and has taught it for the past two years. Dr. Onuigbo graduated from the UW MBA Consortium in 2012 and works as a professor of medicine in nephrology at the University of Vermont. He has been teaching MBA 780: Health Care Human Resources & Organizations course since Fall 2016.
We congratulate and thank these faculty for their efforts in making their courses, and therefore the UW MBA Consortium program, one of the best online MBA programs in the nation.
