Posted: February 3rd, 2020
During the Fall 2019 term, students taking courses through the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium were asked to nominate outstanding instructors from the program. We are pleased to announce the following winners of the 2019 UW MBA Consortium Outstanding Faculty awards:
SURESH CHALASANI, UW-PARKSIDE, ELECTIVE COURSES
Suresh teaches MBA 778: Managing Technology in Turbulent Times and MBA 781: Fundamentals of Health IT Management. Students appreciated Suresh's engagement in classes. One student commented, "Suresh has by far been the most engaged instructor. He is very active in the discussions and has turned the discussions into an effective learning tool. Fabulous!"
GABI EISSA, UW-EAU CLAIRE, FOUNDATION COURSES
Gabi taught MGMT 740: Organizational Management Foundation, along with an elective, MBA 757: Managing Workplace Stress. A student from his MGMT 740 class noted that "Professor Eissa was extremely supportive during his course. He ensured discussions connected real-world experiences with course subjects to reinforce learning. Most importantly, Professor Eissa provided timely and effective feedback to assignments to ensure understanding of study topics and applications of such topics in the workplace."
BRENT OPALL, UW-EAU CLAIRE, MODULE COURSES
Brent teaches MBA 711: Leading a Diverse and Dynamic Workforce. Opall helped on a significant redesign of the course prior to Fall 2018. One student commented on the course content, as well as Brent's responsiveness. "Brent was very thorough and detailed in his feedback. I very clearly understood what the focus of the assignments were, and what his expectations were. He was also very responsive to questions and was a great introduction into the MBA program for me in Module 1."
We congratulate and thank these faculty for their efforts in making their courses, and therefore the UW MBA Consortium program, the best it can be.
