Financial Statement Analysis

This course will help students to develop the skills necessary to analyze and interpret the financial results of an entity. It will focus on 1) examination of the links among the economic characteristics and strategies of business, its financial statements, assessments of its profitability and risk, and its market valuation, 2) preparation of a variety of financial statements and synthesis of comparable statements across time and across firms, and 3) evaluation of financial performance through quantitative and qualitative analyses.
